EP84 – Deze – Don’t Put Your Life on Hold When Experiencing Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Last updated Apr 18, 2022 | 0 comments

Deze shares her story of multiple pregnancy losses and endometriosis, as well as living life in the midst of multiple miscarriages.

In episode #084, Deze shares her personal story of loss. Since 2017, she has experienced 8 pregnancy losses due to miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. After multiple pregnancy losses, laparoscopy revealed that Deze suffered from endometriosis and that one fallopian tube was clogged. Although they have considered IVF, Deze and her husband have not moved forward with fertility treatments at this time.

Deze is a healthcare worker herself, so we discuss the medical treatment of miscarriage and infertility from the patient and the provider perspectives. While Deze has no live births (yet!), she encourages women not to put their lives on hold while experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss.

Topics Discussed: recurrent pregnancy loss, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, clogged fallopian tube, fallopian tube removal
