Ep59- Leah Mason-Virgin: Advocating for Yourself After Miscarriage

Last updated Aug 17, 2021 | 0 comments

In episode #059, Leah Mason-Virgin shares her story of personal loss. She felt dismissed by healthcare staff and unprepared for her miscarriage experience. Leah took it upon herself to do her own research and to chart her cycles to determine that she had a short luteal phase and likely low progesterone as well. Leah encourages women to advocate for themselves and their reproductive health following a miscarriage.

Leah went on to have two biological sons, and she also shares her calling to adopt her daughter. She urges those considering adoption to be certain about that path, and acknowledges both the blessings and the potential pitfalls involved.

Topics Discussed: charting cycles, short luteal phase, low progesterone, dismissive healthcare staff, adoption after miscarriage, adoption after biological children
